Props, Costume and Makeup

  Props, Make-up and Costume

Costume:

The victims:

I have thought of some costumes that will be used in my thriller opening. Firstly, for the victims I will have them dressed in casual clothes to show that they thought it was just a normal day for them. These casual clothes will include a hoodie and tracksuit bottoms. They will also wear casual shoes to further show how they are innocent. This makes the thriller seem more realistic and it makes it seem as it is a normal day to day environment.

The Killer:

For the character who will act as the killer or the hunter, they will be wearing blacked out clothes. This tells the audience of the intentions of this character and how the killer wants to hide his identity. The character will be dressed like this as they have to suit their environment and their role. He will also be wearing a mask to cover his face so only his eyes are showing. This costume agrees with the conventions of a thriller as the killer is working from the shadows and people don't know what he looks like.

Props:

We will be using two motorbikes for our thriller opening. These will be used and ridden by the killer and one of the teenagers who has been abducted. These are used in a chase scene which makes the film more engaging for the audience.

We will also be using a range of different weapons from knives, a baseball bat, a gun, etc... By using weapons, it can build up tension and suspense for the audience and ultimately tell them of the intentions of the killer. We will also use rope to tie the victims hands together. This tells the audience how they have been kidnapped. There will be a table where the weapons will be placed.
